This is a terrific villages that easily approaches 1er quality

with subtle rather than overwhelming evidence of American oak

Philippe Pacalet, Meursault Charmes Vintage:2017 rose petal and a whiff(from Charmes Dessus). There is a vaguely leesy character to the otherwise fresh aromas of citrus rind, floral, pear and a whisper of wood. There is excellent intensity to the delicious and nicely detailed flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the bone dry finish that is also a bit attenuated. This too is going to need at least a few years to unwind and better flesh out.
